You feel caught in life’s whirlwinds

Life is an ever-changing journey, and sometimes our path opens into an entirely new landscape. Maybe the transition is a welcome one, a conscious choice to redefine your narrative, such as the birth of a child or a change in career. Or perhaps the change was thrust upon you, forcing you to confront an unfamiliar reality, such as a divorce, job loss, or death of a loved one. If you find yourself standing in the shadow of change, feeling like you're no longer the person you once were and uncertain about the person you're becoming, I’m with you.

I know the twists and turns of major transitions intimately—I'm the queen of do-overs. Operating from a place of fear and “shoulds,” I declined acceptance to a PhD program to dive into the corporate hustle, enjoying a successful career in marketing. Despite the success, I eventually could no longer deny my true calling—understanding what it truly means to be human. This led me to leave the cushy office job and go back to school to become a therapist.

I've moved entirely across the country—from the bustling streets of NYC to the vibrant energy of LA—leaving behind the comfort of friends and family.

I’ve navigated the devastation of a parent’s terminal illness—and the uncomfortable transition from child to caregiver—as well as the searing pain that comes with the deterioration of a long-term relationship that I once thought would last forever.

Life transitions, whether chosen or unexpected, can be intricate and emotionally charged. Having gone through so many myself, I specialize in providing compassionate support and guidance during these pivotal moments. Here's how we approach navigating life transitions together:

UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLEXITY

Just as every journey is unique, so is every transition. If you're caught in the liminal space, unraveling the mystery of yourself in the wake of life's shifts, I understand the complexity of these emotions and how they often change on a moment-to-moment basis—from confusion, grief, rage, and guilt to excitement and hope. My personal and professional experiences inform my understanding of the nuanced feelings that accompany each unique transition.

CREATING A
SAFE HAVEN

Transition periods can be emotionally charged and can make everything in your life more challenging. If you're no longer the person you once were and aren't quite sure who you are now, my goal is to create a space where you can explore the intricacies of your own journey without judgment. This is a safe haven where your experiences are acknowledged, and your concerns are met with understanding.

HONORING LOSS,
GAINING PERSPECTIVE

Transitions often involve saying goodbye to familiar aspects of life. Whether it's letting go of a past relationship, identity, a particular place, or a routine, we'll explore these losses and find ways to honor what was while looking forward to what can be. By gaining perspective on the bigger picture, we can shape a narrative that empowers and inspires.

BUILDING RESILIENCE

Navigating life transitions requires resilience—the ability to adapt, bounce back, and grow from the experience. Together, we'll work on cultivating your resilience, providing you with tools and strategies to face challenges, embrace change, and build a sense of empowerment in the process.

“Now is the time to let go. Allow yourself a few looks back and as many tears as needed. Where you’ve been has been important. It has helped shape who you are. But have faith that where you’re going is important and wonderful, too.”

— Melody Beattie, Journey to the Heart
